One by one, who took each award

CODA took home the award for Best Picture.

The science fiction filmDune“, from the director Denis Villeneuvewas imposed in the technical categories of the Oscars, which were delivered before the Dolby Theater ceremony.

Also, in the category Best Original Screenplay and Best Direction, the winners were ‘Belfast‘ and Jane Campion (‘the power of the dog‘), respectively, while the award for Best Actor and Actress went to Will Smith (“The Williams Method”) and Jessica Chastain (‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’)respectively.

The award for Best Film went to CODA (Signs of the Heart), a dramatic comedy about love and family.

dune swept in Best Editing, Best Production Design, Best Sound and Best Soundtrackin this 94th edition of the Oscars, laurels that were delivered before the beginning of the ceremony.

For its part, in the Best Makeup and Hairstyle category, the film “Tammy Faye’s eyes” and Aneil Karia and Riz Ahmed won Best Short Film for “The Long Goodbye“.

As Best Animated Short Film, the statuette was received by Alberto Mielgo and Leo Sanchez for “The Windshield Wiper” and as Best Documentary Short Film: Ben Proudfoot for “The Queen of Basketball“.

The Academy decided at this 2022 gala to leave seven categories out of the ceremony as a way to streamline the ceremony and gain a global audience.

– Best Sound: Mac Ruth, Mark Mangini, Theo Green, Doug Hemphill and Ron Bartlett for “Dune”

– Best Soundtrack: Hans Zimmer for “Dune”

– Best Original Song: Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell for “No Time to Die” (“No time to die”)

– Best International Film: “Drive My Car” (Japan)
