Juanse Diez, the man from Cali who did one of the voices of ‘Encanto’

This Sunday ‘Encanto’ won an Oscar Award.

Encanto, a film inspired by Colombia, took the statuette to ‘Best Animated Film’ at the Academy Awards gala.

The Disney film surpassed ‘Raya and the last dragon’, ‘Flee’, ‘Luca and the Mitchells family vs. the machines’.

Yvett Merino, producer of the film, was in charge of collecting the statuette: “I am very proud to be part of a film that brings beautiful and diverse characters to the fore, and that people from all over are reflected in the film”, said this Sunday, March 27 from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California.

In this film several personalities of the Colombian show business lent their voices to give life to the characters of the ‘Madrigal family: Sebastián Yatra, Carolina Gaitán, Alejandro Riaño, María Cecilia Botero; among others.

One of those many is Juanse Diez from Cali, who did the voice of Camilo Madrigal who has the ability to take a thousand and one different forms.

It should be remembered that all the members of the ‘Madrigal Family’ have a gift.

The Valle del Cauca is an actor and speaks French and English.

He is also a good singer, as is his father Hernán Diez, who appeared on ‘La Voz Colombia’ in 2003.

The Secretary of Culture of Cali highlighted his work in this film, leaving the name of his city high.

“Proudly Caleño”, posted the Twitter account.

For him, one of the key characters in the film is Bruno. In addition, he confessed that he likes to compose songs and that his favorite place in the Valle del Cauca capital is the Granada neighborhood.

He likes mango with salt and prefers empanadas to cholao.

As a good Caleño, he likes the song ‘Cali Ají’ by Grupo Niche.

It is noteworthy that Juanse is one of the “Disney boys” since he is currently part of the series: ‘El Club de los Graves’.
