Ombudsman opens 29 complaints for possible violations of human rights

A total of 29 complaints were managed by the Ombudsman’s Office, in the four months that have elapsed this year 2023, highlighting the right to petition, health and water.

In January and March the highest number of complaints was registered with 9 in each of those months.

The orientations managed reach 226 in the statistics of the National Institution of Human Rights, 24 mobile Ombudsmen were carried out and during the month of April the highest number was registered with 9, while in the months of February and March there were 7 mobile Ombudsmen In each one.

In the Regional Office of the province of Herrera, there are a total of 9 complaints managed in the month of January, in the Regional Office of the province of Chiriquí, 5 complaints arose in the month of March, in the Regional Office of the province of Coclé 4 in the month of February, 2 complaints were filed at the Los Santos Regional Office and 2 complaints were filed at the North Panama Regional Office.
