Ombudsman explains that Justice of the Peace who was declared a Hostile and Obstructive official can receive sanctions

The Ombudsman, Eduardo Leblanc, referred to the issue of the Justice of the Peace of Belisario Porras, district of San Miguelito, who was declared a Hostile and Obstructive official on Wednesday morning.

Leblanc explained that this statement was made after investigating a citizen complaint, and in accordance with the National Constitution and the Law that governs the institution, they declared Aminta Castro as “a hostile and hindering official” through Resolution No. 379f-2021 of the March 15, 2022.

The document highlights that in January 2021 a citizen complaint was admitted against the aforementioned Community House for alleged violation of Legal Law; and that requests for reports were made to the official, but no response was obtained, making it clear that “she does not want to collaborate with the legal and constitutional functions of the Ombudsman’s Office, which implies that the fundamental rights and guarantees of the people who come to our institution.

The Ombudsman explained that with this action, the official can receive various sanctions from administrative to removal from office.
