This Thursday, President Alberto Fernández and Fernanda Raverta, head of the ANSES (National Social Security Administration) announced that the coverage of the wow (Universal Child Allowance).
Onwards social assistance It will reach children and adolescents without parental care who live in residential or family care facilities, since the Government will pay 100% of the wow for this population.

Likewise, 100% of the wow to children and adolescents without parental care who have some type of disability. The measure was formalized this Friday through the Official Gazette with Decree 5/2023.
Provide for effective access to social security resources for all boys, girls and adolescents in respect of whom an exceptional protection measure has been adopted and remains in residential care facilities, publicly or privately managed, or in family care arrangements”, states the Decree.
The measure establishes “the monthly payment of an amount equivalent to 100% of the general value of the Universal Child Allowance for Social Protection for children and adolescents up to and including 17 years of age, or 100 % of the Universal Allowance for Child with a disability, if they have a valid Unique Disability Certificate”.
It also states that this will be done “provided that an exceptional protection measure has been adopted with respect to them and they remain in residential care facilities, public or private management, or in family care facilities.”
The norm bears the signature of the head of state; the Chief of Staff, Juan Manzur; the Minister of Social Development, Victoria Tolosa Paz; and his peer from Environment and Sustainable Development, Juan Cabandié.
Measurement details
The Government will pay 100% of social care for children and adolescents without parental care who do not exceed 17 years of age. In other words, a monthly payment of $9,795 will be made. The use of the designated funds cannot be used for expenses that must be covered by the guardian and the opinion of the minor must be taken into account for their use.
For this, the ANSES “will request the financial entities with which it has current payment agreements to open a bank account for the deposit of the benefit and the National Secretariat for Children, Adolescents and Family of the Ministry of Social Development and will sign bilateral agreements with the 24 jurisdictions of the country, in which the modality of information exchange and the corresponding administrative procedure will be established”.
