Official acts began to commemorate the Day of the Dead and honor the heroes of the country

This Tuesday, November 2, the official acts began to commemorate the Day of the Dead and honor the heroes of the country.

From 8:00 am the traditional pilgrimage to the Amador cemetery took place.

A wreath was placed in the mausoleum of Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero, who served as the first president of the Republic.

The pilgrimage was led by Judy Meana, vice mayor of the Panama district, Xiomara Pérez, director in charge of Protocol and State Ceremonial, and Imelda Sucre, president of the Municipal Council of Panama.

Subsequently, a mass was held in the Santa María La Antigua Basilica Cathedral, to remember the victims of Covid-19 in the country.
