Office of the Historian announces opening of new spaces in Old Havana

On the 80th anniversary of Eusebio Leal’s birth, the Historian’s Office of the City of Havana presented new social, cultural and gastronomic spaces.

As part of the comprehensive management of the capital’s Historic Center, two renovated buildings, located on Habana and Desamparados streets, were delivered to families who remained in shelters.

In the Antiguos Almacenes San José, the ice cream parlor “Helado Mío”, from Mipyme Producciones Granado, will offer the public between 12 and 15 flavors made with high-quality raw materials and Italian technology.

In the same place, a hamburger joint, “La Artesanal”, will begin to operate, with totally natural homemade products, entrepanes and juices and soft drinks.

The “Yucasabi” restaurant, on Obrapía street no. 60, will operate with the cassava manufacturing tradition and will present native recipes from the Cuban East.

On the other hand, at the headquarters building of the San Gerónimo University College, two multifunctional movie theaters will be inaugurated at the end of April, which will bear the name of Alfredo Guevara.

The exhibition “Eusebio Leal, a view of children” was recently inaugurated, a pictorial tribute from the children of the First Lines project to the city’s historian.
