The situation:
The subject entered the room where the safe with the money was located, after intimidating the station security personnel. However, witnesses alerted the Carabineros, who quickly arrived at the scene, preventing their escape.
The detention:
Lieutenant Diego Mansilla, from the 2nd Quilpué Police Station, reported that “once at the scene, police personnel managed to realize that the individual was sheltered in the place where the station’s daily collection is kept, for which reason they entered immediately and proceeds to the arrest of the individual”. During the transfer to the police vehicle, the offender bit the policeman, causing an injury to his right arm.
The judicial process:
The offender will be formalized for robbery with intimidation as frustrated and mistreatment of a policeman on duty, and today Monday he must go to detention control. The background of the case will be delivered to the Public Prosecutor’s Office and a 90-day period has been set for the development of the investigation.
