Two years and 10 months have passed since the inauguration of Line 2 of the Metro and the contractor Consorcio Line 2, made up of Odebrecht and FCC, has not yet completed all the works established in the contract.

The Panama Metro revealed that 1% of the pending works remains to be completed, after the substantial acceptance act has been signed.

They added that in December, both companies must complete pending work. For failing to fulfill part of these works, the Metro has imposed four fines that combined add up to 1,286,879 dollars, which have already been canceled by the contractor.

Metro spokesmen reported that the construction and financing of the project reaches 2 thousand 178 million dollars, while the maintenance of the project is at 52.5 million dollars.
