An 82-year-old man died after being involved in a road accident between a car and a motorcycle. The incident occurred in the city of Artigas in the department of the same name, specifically on Aparacio Saravia and Rincón streets.
The octogenarian was driving the motorcycle and collided with the vehicle. The Director of Transit of the Intendancy of Artigas, Ariel Piastri explained to the local media Artigas News how the events happened.
According to the chief, the man did not stop the march on a donkey’s back and did not give way to the car, which had preference. Because of this, the driver of the vehicle was unable to avoid colliding with the motorcycle.
The man perished on the spot.
