In this 2023 National Youth Baseball Championship, the team from Veraguas wants to once again be one of the protagonists of the tournament as they did in 2006 and 2010 when they were crowned national champions. The Veraguas team will face Chiriquí this Friday, January 6, at the stadium Kenny Serracin.

On this occasion, with a team with experienced players, they hope to go out and put the name of their province on high as they have achieved in previous years “We have done everything so that the boys are prepared and can win, also to encourage the fans and fill the stadium when we play at home, he trusted the boys and the coaching staff,” said Roberto García, president of the Veraguas Provincial League.

For the first game, the starter against Chiriquí will be Javier Reina, who will be one of the reinforcement players over 18 years of age that make up the team “we are going to go all out to win this game, the team’s harmony is good, we are a compact group, I I feel good to launch the first game and give 100 percent, I tell the fans to come support us at the stadium because this motivates us,” said Reina.

The team manager Abdiel Ramos is satisfied with the team’s preparation for the start of the youth championship “We have a balanced team, the reinforcements will help us in the offensive part, in our warm-ups the team has been good defensively and solid In pitching, we have fast runners who are going to help us a lot on offense to make runs and we are going to make the difference in this championship.”

Veraguas’ first three games in this Youth Baseball Championship will be against Chiriquí at the Kenny Serracín this Friday, January 6, on Saturday they will face Herrera at the Claudio Nieto stadium and on Sunday, January 8 they will have their first home game at the Omar Torrijos when they face Bocas del Toro.
