CRB got the better of the duel that ended the fifth round of the first phase of the Copa do Nordeste. This Thursday (17), Galo de Campina defeated Globo 2-0 at the Rei Pelé stadium, in Maceió.

The Alagoas went to the same eight points of the Náutico vice-leader, falling behind by the number of goals scored, in the third position, entering the classification zone to the next phase. The team from Ceará-Mirim (RN) remains with two points, in seventh and penultimate place in Group A, two points behind Sampaio Corrêa, which closes the G4.
The hosts opened the scoring after 12 minutes of play. Striker Marcinho finished from the edge of the area and beat André Zuba. The Globo goalkeeper avoided the second in the 25th minute, deflecting Maycon Douglas’ shot to the crossbar. In the 16th minute of the second half, however, the archer could do nothing to save the header from fellow striker Anselmo Ramon, who increased the regatian advantage.
Earlier this Thursday, Floresta reached the second consecutive victory in the competition by beating Sergipe 1-0 at the Horácio Domingos de Sousa stadium (Domingão), in Horizonte (CE). Striker Paulo Vyctor came off the bench in the final stage to decide the Ceará triumph.
Lobo da Vila Manuel Sátiro went to sixth place and adds the same seven points as Bahia, the last team in the G4 of Group B. Gipão continues with one point, in the bottom of Group A.
The teams that went to the field this Thursday will return to play for the Northeast Cup on Sunday (20). Three play at 18:30 (Brasília time). CRB and Sergipe face each other at Lourival Baptista stadium (Batistan), in Aracaju, while Floresta visits Sampaio Corrêa at Castelão, in São Luís. Ceará-Mirim.
