For the second week in a row, cases of coronavirus in Argentina they rose again. In the last week, the Ministry of Health of the Nation reported a total of 31,845 new infections throughout the countrywhich shows an increase of 17% (4,691 more cases) compared to the previous week, when 27,154 infections were confirmed.
For its part, in terms of deaths, the health portfolio reported that, between Monday, July 4 and Sunday, July 10, 36 deaths associated with the coronavirusmost of them in the Province of Buenos Aires, which is the jurisdiction with the most infections and deaths from the virus.
Specifically, deaths from coronavirus of this week were distributed as follows: 16 in Buenos Aires, 5 in CABA, 5 in Entre Ríos, 3 in Neuquén, 2 in Catamarca, 2 in Río Negro, 2 in Tierra del Fuego, 1 in Córdoba, 1 in Misiones and 1 in the province of San Juan.
Regarding hospital occupation, it was announced that there are 393 patients hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU) in the country, which reduces the hospitalization rate to 43.8% throughout the country. While in the AMBA (Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area) occupancy reached 42%.
In this way, since the pandemic arrived in the country, in March 2020, Argentina has registered a total of 9,426,171 infections and 129,145 deaths related to the coronavirusfigures that position the nation among the first 20 steps of the world ranking, as one of the States most affected by the illness.
Strategic Vaccination Plan
According to the Public Vaccination Monitor, an organization that closely follows the progress of the immunization campaign in the country, to date a total of 106,474,858 vaccines against the coronavirus in the 24 jurisdictions of the nation.
