Efraín Toribio, who was appointed today by decree as president of the Special Fund for Agricultural Development (FEDA), was initially appointed director of the institution in September 2020 by the president Luis Abinader.
Since that time he has developed an arduous work for the benefit of the small farmers of rural areas, work recognized by the president Abinader who through decree 677-21 makes him president of the FEDA.
Since his appointment as executive director of the FEDA by President Abinader, Toribio has implemented several programs.
And among these programs are Back to the Field, Young People Sow, Groceries of Products Farmers for Single Mothers and convert all Associations of Agricultural producers nationwide into Cooperatives.
With the same decree, Abinader appointed Hecmilio Arístides Galván Cruz, in the position of executive director of the FEDA, according to article 2.
