New president of SPIA plans to implement corrective and preventive plans for existing infrastructures

The new president of the Panamanian Society of Engineers and Architects (SPIA), Rutilio Villarreal, stated this Thursday that the country needs to be called upon to reactivate the economy to reach the levels we were at before the pandemic, which is true, we were coming down, but the situation was manageable.

He explained that one of the main approaches he has made upon taking office is to be able to carry out the implementation of a maintenance plan for our existing infrastructures.

“This plan must be oriented in a corrective and preventive way, such as, for example, the infrastructure of drinking water, hospitals and education,” he specified.

He added that it also seeks to contribute to the professional updating of its partners with continuing education, which comes hand in hand with the academy and new technologies.
