New four-lane highway Lima – La Oroya presents delays

The Comptroller General of the Republic detected delays that would affect the execution of “Creation of the Central Highway – Huaycán – Cieneguilla -Santiago de Tuna – San Andrés de Tupicocha – San Damián – Yuracmayo – Yauli -Pachachaca – Emp. PE-22, Santa Rosa de Sacco district, Yauli province, Junín region” and “Creation (Construction) of the Santa Rosa Expressway (Route PE-20I) in the Callao, La Perla and Bellavista districts of the Callao province .

According to report 10980-2022-CG/MPROY-SCC of the control body, the tender is to contract the preparation of the Archeology and Geotechnical Study for the profile of the New Central Highway project (Phase 1), with deadlines due June 2022, without conclusion, it generates delays in the execution of the Archeology and Geotechnical campaigns (Phase 1 – Stage 2) and affects the activities of the technical assistance schedule.

From the review of the documentation and information registered in the SGTi4 platform, it is noted that the signing of the commissioning act and the agreements and contracts for the preparation of the geotechnical and archeology studies are pending, due to the delay in the presentation of the essential documents required.

According to the Comptroller, since May 26, 2022, the company EGEMASS (selected to go to the next stage of the Archeology tender) has been experiencing difficulties in obtaining Civil Liability and Professional Civil Liability Insurance; mandatory documentation to sign the Commissioning Act and sign the contract.
