In its last epidemiological part, the Ministry of Health of the Nation reported the detection of 28,039 new positive cases of coronavirus in all the countrywhich translates into a decline of 24% (8,796 fewer infections) compared to the previous week.
According to data from the health entity, between Monday 13 and Sunday, June 19, 22 deaths associated with the coronavirus Throughout the national territorythe Province of Buenos Aires is the one with the most deaths from the virus accumulated, with 11 deaths.
On the other hand, in the rest of the country, deaths from coronavirus of the last week were distributed as follows: Córdoba (3), Entre Ríos (3), La Pampa (2), Tierra del Fuego (2) and San Luis (1).
Currently, there are 367 people hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU)which places the hospitalization rate at 43.4% nationwide, while in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA), the occupancy rate is 43%.
Now, with this new update, Argentina goes on to accumulate a total of 9,341,492 infections and 129,016 deaths associated with viral disease since the start of the pandemic, more than two years ago.
Strategic Vaccination Plan
In terms of vaccination, the Public Vaccination Monitor reported that, to date, a total of 104,915,359 vaccines have been applied against coronavirus throughout the country, of the 112,369,242 doses that were distributed throughout the national territory.
Specifically, there are already 40,825,589 Argentine men and women who have started the immunization scheme with the first dose of the drugs. On the other hand, 37,561,037 people completed the treatment with the two vaccines; while 23,474,567 people reinforced the scheme with the third dose.
