Néstor Ferrer describes “HepYvera” as a bridging scam

Néstor Ferrer, national deputy for the ANR (chartist), described the Yvera bridge in the university city as a “scam to the people of San Lorenzo and the Paraguayan people.” Recently, the bridge was inaugurated and received the nickname “HepYvera bridge” (too expensive in Guaraní) for the G. 1,300 million that the commune paid for said work.

«San Lorenzo has a strategic position in the heart of the department. It allows thousands of compatriots to cross it daily. There are studies from previous years that reveal that more than 100,000 vehicles enter to go to the capital or other parts of the country », he said.

He pointed out that the inauguration of the bridge, located on Avenida Mcal. López, in front of the Ciclovía San Lorenzo, in one of the accesses to the downtown area, in the Yverá area.

“It is disappointing to mention that engineer César Núñez, director of the MOPC bridges division, described the work as not only being a transformation, but rather a completely new work,” he questioned.

The dimension of the bridge is 12 meters and a height of 4.5 meters. It will have a useful life of 50 years (according to the MOPC) and the work will be completed in 45 days.
