Neighbors denounce neglect of the parks of the city of Santa Cruz

The place where the little ones are supposed to be entertained actually represents a danger due to the amount of garbage it has accumulated. In effect, it is about closed parks that are in obvious deterioration. From the Mayor’s Office they assure that they are working on the maintenance of the furniture.

In a tour carried out by EL DEBER, It was possible to show that in several closed parks in the city there are endless glass and plastic bottles, dry leaves, bags loaded with waste, branches everywhere, in addition to unpainted and deteriorated furniture.

That is why they demand the attention of the Mayor’s Office to take charge of the respective maintenance of these places.

“Neighbors denounce that, mainly, the parks have become a real risk to the health of minorswho in search of fun go to these places and find piles of garbage bags,” complained a neighbor on the fourth ring road and Centenario Avenue.

Jhon Paz, from the Mayor’s Maintenance and Repair Department, reported that work is being done on cleaning and maintaining the furniture in the city’s parks.

“We have a current contract for the maintenance and repair of infrastructure in the closed parks of the city“, clarified the official, in time to remark that the document ends next February 11.

Moreover, the architect maintained that there is a schedule that is being applied in all these areas.
