On the afternoon of this Tuesday, May 11, the National Police showed the shield and bulletproof vest of the 21-year-old unit that was injured by a bullet on the second day of protests in the province of Colón.

The authorities reported that one of their units was injured “while carrying out his work, to guarantee public order in the province of Colón, he was wearing the shield and the protective vest,” the security establishment said on its Twitter account.

This evidence is under the orders of the Public Ministry, which has begun its investigations of this bloody event that left the agent in a delicate state and that required the transfer from the city of Colón to the capital of the country, by means of the National Aeronaval Service helicopter.

The published images show the bullet impacts and it was appreciated how the bullet pierced the shield in the upper part of the neck in the vest.
