“The Law defends itself”
“The Law defends itself in its content, but to explain it to the people. We want to focus on the nucleus of people that we understand is the rational and that will end up defining the plebiscite, because once explained it reaches the average conscience of the citizen very naturally, “said the coordinator of the Commission, Deputy Alejo Umpiérrez.
He assured that “nothing that is proposed in the LUC is abstruse or absurd,” he added that the Law has been in force for a year and a half and “has not caused any type of problems, but benefits especially in terms of security and education because they have seen improvements in the results ”.
Umpiérrez assured that the LUC “collects the claims of the people, it is so democratic that the people knew it before the parliamentarians, it was democratically debated and modified in three instances and more than half of the articles have the support of the opposition, even articles that are being repealed today ”.
