This Committee, made up of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Erika Mouynes, the Minister of Social Development, María Inés Castillo, and the Minister of Economy and Finance, Héctor Alexander, as well as the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations, Cristian Munduate, and the representatives of the agencies, funds and programs of the United Nations, is a reflection of the Reform promoted by the secretary general, António Guterres, highlighted the chancellor.
With the participation of Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes and the United Nations Resident Coordinator, Cristian Munduate, this Thursday, May 12 of this year, the Joint Steering Committee for the coordinated and integrated implementation of the Development Cooperation Framework was installed. Sustainable 2021 – 2025 signed between the Government of Panama and the United Nations System.

Similarly, Minister Moynes referred to the importance of multilateralism and international cooperation, she also mentioned the importance of working on the goals of the sustainable development goals (SDG). “It is key that the efforts being made are comprehensive, that is, that all the actors work in a coordinated and unified manner to overcome the challenges of our era and ensure a better future for the next generations.” She mentioned
However, it is important to highlight that cooperation and work between all actors must be guaranteed and, with the aim of guaranteeing that all people without distinction enjoy a full life and their rights, guaranteeing that we do not leave anyone behind, within the framework of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
It was also mentioned that, in order to achieve the previously stated objectives, the Cooperation Framework is implemented through coordinated actions with public institutions, civil society, private companies, workers’ organizations, academia and international cooperation, to contribute to the reduction of existing social, economic and territorial inequalities in the country.
