The Dominican State, represented by the National Energy Commission (CNE), signed a definitive concession contract with the company WCGF Solar IIwhich will develop in the community of palm bushmunicipality of Guerra, province of Santo Domingo, the electric project Washington Capital Solar Park 2with a nominal capacity of 50 megawatts and 67 peak megawatts.
The concession contract was signed by Edward VerasExecutive Director of the CNE, and Serge Gharibian, manager of the company WCGF Solar II, SRL
During the signing ceremony, Edward Veras highlighted the importance of the work for the residents of the area and ratified the commitment of the authorities of the president’s government Louis Abinader to continue permanently with the development of the national electricity sector.

He specified that the concession was granted through Administrative Resolution number CNE-ER-0004-2022, dated April 7, 2022, and registered in the Registry of Production Installations in the Special Electricity Regime.
Serge Gharibianmanager of the company that will develop the project in the Mata section of Palma, thanked the management of the CNE and the Government for the facilities to obtain the definitive concession to install the power plant Washington Capital Solar Park 2.
It is recalled that the CNE is the institution attached to the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), empowered by law, on behalf of the Dominican State, to promote the development of renewable energy sources in favor of national development.
