They attend with social day to 87 deprived of liberty in Caracas

The mayor of Caracas, A/J Carmen Meléndez, announced that a Comprehensive Attention Day was held for 87 prisoners from the Guarantee and Protection Center located in El Valle.

Meléndez stressed that the women received comprehensive medical care, provision of bunk beds, mattresses, supplies, sewing machines, sports equipment and medicines.

In the same way, she announced that there is a group of female entrepreneurs in different areas in the center and “they are transforming what I heard from their own words.”

Likewise, he mentioned that those deprived of liberty also received a visit from the Ministry of People’s Power for the Penitentiary Service, who provided attention and legal support, as well as the presidential commission to verify the status of the cause of each one of them.

Meléndez told the inmates that they can count on each of the levels of government, “because we all come together to care for them and so that they have more humane spaces and have the care they need.”

Regarding the possibility of opting for the benefit of freedom, the director of Criminal Investigations, Pedro Tarazona, stressed that it can be evidenced in the order, discipline and commitment of the inmates, this allows the institutions to visualize the motivations to achieve the redemptions.
