The Standing Committee on Foreign policy, Sovereignty and Integration of the National Assembly (AN) approved the appointments of the National Executive of new ambassadors.
These are the appointments of Rodulfo Pérez Hernández before the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco), Iam Carlos Torres in Vatican City and Juan Arias Palacio before Algeria.
According to a press release from the National Assembly, after the appearance of these officials before the parliamentary commission in the next few hours, the presentation and ratification in the Plenary Chamber of the appointment of ambassadorsaccording to the Internal and Debate Regulations of the AN.
Rodulfo Pérez, referred to the mission that he will undertake as a representative of Venezuela, explained that the fundamental mission will be to work on the preservation of intangible cultural heritage, such as the Dancing Devils of Yare, La Parranda de San Pedro, as a popular and religious festivity, the Carnival of El Callao, and San Juan Bautista, among others.
He announced that he will promote the Quality Education for All Project, as it is an important issue on his work agenda.
He indicated that at the Summit on the Transformation of Education, to be held on September 16, 17 and 19, Venezuela will have the opportunity to present relevant contributions that aim to raise education, in order to level the learning losses generated from of the pandemic.
For his part, Iam Torres Parra pointed out that Venezuela needs to rebuild a diary on political matters based on a clear and transparent scenario.
He said that in the religious sphere he plans to work on the canonization of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández, Mother Emilia de San José, and Mother María de San José, among other blesseds.
He explained the importance of updating the concordat, an old agreement, without updating, but necessary legally, politically and ecclesiastically, to regularize the lines of mutual interest.
Finally, Juan Arias Palacio will promote the creation of a Venezuela-Algeria business group in order to strengthen binational relations, strengthen the agricultural sector and work on the issue of international sanctions.
