Nakayama will request the annulment of the elections due to alleged electoral fraud

On December 20, Eduardo Nakayama, candidate for senator for the PLRA, denounced that at a polling station in the Ykua Sati neighborhood of Asunción, where the most voted candidates had an average of 6 to 7 votes, (he registered 8 votes) , was Senator Hermelinda Alvarenga who obtained 271 votes.

Due to this situation, the candidate for senator is going to ask for the annulment of the elections.

“Fraud exceeds 20%. At some tables there were 500 votes, 500 people couldn’t vote in 10 hours because it’s impossible. This is a serious inconsistency, when it occurs on a single table. You have to check if those people went to vote. There is an aggravated burden of votes. The credibility of democracy is at stake, and historically the PLRA, which has fought against electoral fraud, cannot allow this,” he pointed out.
