Deputies Adriana Ventura and Marcel Van Hattem presented a requirement of information to Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira to detail the procedure that was followed and defined to accept the political protection of the former lady after being sentenced in Peru to 15 years in jail for the crime of money laundering.
The legislators demanded the reports and documents with technical support that justified the Heredia refuge, who was convicted of the illicit contributions he received together with former president Ollanta Humala to finance his 2006 and 2011 campaigns.
Humala’s wife arrived last night to Sao Paulo, a city where he will reside from now on as asylected and with the expenses covered by the Brazilian government.
In Peru, meanwhile, Humala was admitted to the Barbadillo prison to turn 15 years in prison; and Ilán Heredia, Nadine’s brother, fled so as not to comply with the 12 years of penalty imposed by the Judiciary in the same case.
