Santo Domingo.– el Emergency Operations Center (COE) reported five dead people and 26 affected In his first bulletin of Operational “Consciousness for Life, Holy Week 2025”.
Of the total deaths, four were because of Traffic accidents and one by Asphyxiation by immersion in a spa closed by the authorities, identified as Guayubinsito, in Montecristi.
As detailed by the COE director, Juan Manuel Méndez, 25 traffic accidents were recorded, of which 22 involved motorcycles, two light vehicles and one yipeta. Eleven of these incidents occurred on highways and roads, while the remaining fourteen occurred in urban areas.
Of fatal victims due to accidents, Two died within the COE security device and two out of it.
“In Bulletin No. 1 of the Awareness for Life Operation, Holy Week 2025 is recorded that about 438 received medical assistance and 5,833 people attended the roads,” said the agency by totaling about 6,271 after this report.

In addition, the report reveals that 84 people were attended by Alcoholic poisoningwhile 13 More presented food poisoning. An additional case of immersion suffocation was also reported that was not fatal.
The public network hospitals have attended a total of 379 people during the first hours of the operation, which will remain active throughout the Holy Week rig.
