Murderers apologize to Pecci’s family and say they are sorry

The four sentenced to 23 years in prison for the crime of Marcelo Pecci, had their sentence reduced by 50% for admitting guilt and apologized to the prosecutor’s family for what they committed.

Eiverson Adrián Zabaleta, Cristian Camilo Monsalve, Marisol Londoño (Colombians) and Wendel Scott Carrillo (Venezuelan) accepted their participation and charges in Marcelo Pecci’s crime and during the trial in which they received the sentence of 23 years in prison, they apologized as part of the planned The messages were broadcast by the Colombian media.

“I want to ask the Nation of Colombia and you for the mistake, to forgive me. Likewise, to the family of that man (Pecci), to my family and to the whole world. I will not commit such an act again, I am sorry with all my heart, the first time I have done this and I will never do it again, “said the only woman involved, Marisol Londoño, who acted as Pecci’s marker during the couple’s entire stay in Cartagena.

For his part, Eiverson Zabaleta, in a message that seemed more dictated than the previous one, expressed: “I am going to apologize to the entire nation of Colombia, to the family of Mr. Marcelo Pecci, to the authorities of Paraguay. I tell you that I will not commit a crime like this again. This is the first time I committed a crime like this. I sincerely regret it.”

All the speeches had a similar content, unlike some words. The shooter and person in charge of shooting Pecci, Wendret Scott Carrillo (Venezuelan), stated: “Good afternoon, I address the relatives of prosecutor Marcelo Pecci asking for forgiveness for what was committed. To the Paraguayan authorities, to the Colombian authorities, that they forgive me for the act committed, that I will not make a mistake like this again.”

The Prosecutor’s Office had requested 47 years in prison for homicide and illegal possession of weapons, however, the defendants benefited from the reduction of the sentence, by confessing and accepting the charges.

According to the written media, La Semana, Marcelo Pecci’s family renounced all financial compensation from the hitmen and asked for higher sentences for the guilty. In addition, the identification of the moral authors and the conviction of the fifth detainee, who, unlike the other 4, does not admit his guilt, are still pending.
