About the initiative
This initiative was born from the commitment assumed by Peña and Ortiz Bosch, together with Mr. D’Aza, to make visible the strengths of women from the different municipalities through training and promoting self-confidence and vision of life, offering them tools for empowerment and projection with the “Women and Leadership Workshops”.
As Sandra Ángeles explained, the only way that local political projects can be made attractive to women is by generating high leadership skills and qualitative political participation in them.
The workshops will be face-to-face and video conferences to have a better impact on the workshops, but those who cannot attend for reasons of accessibility will be able to use technology.
The topics to be discussed will be: the regulations that regulate the women’s rights, the Constitution of the Republic and the Dominican electoral system, the progress of equality and equity in the country, the empowerment of women, entrepreneurship, and the personal economy, among others.
