The Public Ministry (MP) advances in the investigations into the Amazonas case to determine the facts and punish those responsible for the death of four Yanomami indigenous people.
In this sense, the attorney general, Tarek William Saab, reported this Tuesday, through his account on the social network Twitter, that the designated prosecutors, together with the MP, have carried out multiple joint proceedings with the Body of Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistics (CICPC) to clarify the facts.
“The @MinpublicoVEN together with the designated #Prosecutors have carried out multiple #proceedings together with the #CICPC to clarify and punish the unfortunate events where 4 #Yanomami indigenous people died,” Saab published.
He explained that the Prosecutor’s Office 91 of indigenous jurisdiction coordinates the process from the Prosecutor’s Office, as well as the Prosecutor’s Offices 4 in Human Rights and 5 for adolescent responsibility and child and adolescent victims.
For this case, the Public Ministry appointed last March the 91st National Prosecutor for Indigenous Matters and the 4th Prosecutor for Human Rights to investigate, together with the CICPC, the complaint about the confrontation that occurred in the state of Amazonas between Yanomami indigenous people and officials military.
