Morena presidential candidates go to states for revocation, electricity and campaigns

Morenistas close to the ‘corcholatas’ achieved positions in the party

To access a candidacy by popular election, it is not necessary to be a member of the governing bodies of that party, but joining them will allow you the option so that, in your capacity as a national congressman, you will be elected a member of the National Council.

As part of this instance, in August 2023, he could access the Morenoite national leadership that Mario Delgado, Morenoite president, and Citlalli Hernández, general secretary, must leave that month.

Morena offered to have results on Monday the 8th, the day after her internal elections last weekend, where 3,000 national congressmen were elected, who in turn are district coordinators, councilors and state congressmen. But she postponed results for Tuesday, August 9, and finally offered to have them this Thursday, August 11.

Of the morenista presidential candidates, López Hernández was the only one who contended for a position in the III National Congress that will meet on September 17 and 18.

Instead, the head of government Claudia Sheinbaum and Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard only voted in the Moreno internal election, and the leader of the Morena senators, Ricardo Monreal, did not vote or register as a candidate.

However, it is outlined that they will have close operators within the Morena bodies, since they were unofficially elected as district coordinators and therefore won their space as councilors and state congressmen and national congressmen.

In their capacity as state councillors, they may access the presidency, general secretary or State Executive Committee. As national congressmen they can be elected as one of the 300 national councilors, and join the National Executive Committee (CEN).

According to preliminary results, close to Sheinbaum will be, among others, the secretary of the city government, Martí Batres, who won his place in the 15th district of the Benito Juárez mayor’s office, and former senator Dolores Padierna in the 12th district located in the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office.

In that same district, Congressman Néstor Núñez is emerging, close to Senator Ricardo Monreal Ávila, who reached one of the 3,000 positions in Morena.

And in Tabasco, promoters of López Hernández’s candidacy also won in their districts, in 2 Senator Ovidio Peralta Suárez and in 6 Carlos Íñiguez Rosique, Secretary of Government Administration and Innovation (SAIG) of the state.

In the internal elections last Saturday and Sunday in the 300 districts, Moreno leaders who endorsed their permanence as congressmen are the political cartoonist Rafael Barajas “El Fisgón”, who heads the National Institute of Political Training of Morena, as well as the journalist Pedro Miguel, both close to the federal president Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The licensed senator and former coordinator of the superdelegates of the Welfare Secretariat, Gabriel García Hernández, now responsible for the Healthy Water Program for the Lagoon, was elected in the 18th district of Mexico City and in his district in Tlalpan the spokesman for the Presidency Jesús Ramírez Cuevas.
