More than 77,000 users are still without electricity in CABA and the Buenos Aires suburbs

More than 77,000 users in the city of Buenos Aires and the Buenos Aires suburbs they were still on wednesday morning no power supplyin a new day with a red alert for extreme temperatures and a predicted maximum mark of 33 degrees.

According to the register of the National Electricity Regulatory Entity (ENRE) published at 7:50 a.m., in the area concessioned to Edesur a total of 59,889 users were without power in towns in Buenos Aires such as Tristán Suárez, Lomas de Zamora, Temperley, Monte Grande, Barrio La Unión (Ezeiza), Adrogué and Wilde, all in the south of the Buenos Aires suburbs.

In the case of the city of Buenos Aires, the areas most affected by the cuts were the neighborhoods of Almagro, Villa Riachuelo and Villa Devoto.

Meanwhile, in the Edenor concession area, the total number of users without electricity added up to 17,161 especially residents in Villa Luzuriaga and Virrey del Pino, in the Buenos Aires district of La Matanza; and Francisco Álvarez, in Moreno’s party.

This Tuesday, in the middle of a sweltering Tuesday with a thermal that exceeded 42 degrees, several residents of CABA and the Buenos Aires suburbs protested in the streets for the lack of electricity.

The interruption of the electricity supply affected 150,000 users at 6:00 p.m., according to the ENRE registry.

Due to the protests, the service of the Roca and Belgrano trains was interrupted and traffic on the Buenos Aires-La Plata highway was also affected.
