According to the federal government, Pronasci establishes policies and actions to protect the most vulnerable social groups, seeking to promote human rights, intensifying a culture of peace, support for disarmament and the fight against prejudice based on gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation. and cultural diversity.

Among the goals of the program is the improvement of security structures, such as the specialized Police Stations for Women and the Maria da Penha Law Patrol, which should receive 270 new vehicles by the end of March. There is also a provision for the allocation, by public notice, of R$ 4 million from the National Public Security Secretariat to strengthen policies to combat violence against women with a focus on municipalities.

Under the Professional Training Program and Implementation of Permanent Workshops, carried out in partnership with the Ministries of Health and Social Development, R$ 5 million will be allocated for the production of pads and diapers in the country’s prisons. The idea is to distribute these items in the public health network.

Another project instituted by Pronasci will be the reformulation of the Bolsa-Formação, aimed at the professional qualification of public security operators in the States, Federal District and Municipalities. Under the new decree, the value for the Training Scholarship is now R$900, paid for each month the course lasts, and made available to candidates who meet the specific eligibility criteria for the course offered by the program.

Relaunched today, Pronasci was originally born in 2007, during the second Lula administration, and is implemented by the Union in cooperation with states, the Federal District and municipalities, through projects and actions of technical and financial assistance. Within the scope of Pronasci, the implementation of public policies that promote racial equality and the fight against structural racism, the fight against poverty, hunger and inequalities, as well as the fight against violence against women, are presented as a priority axis.

The axes of Pronasci are aligned with the National Public Security Plan, which aims to reduce the national homicide rate to below 16 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants by 2030, in addition to reducing rates involving violent deaths of women and injuries. body followed by death.
