With great expectation, the Teletón Foundation will be holding simultaneous events in various squares of the Microcentro de Asunción this Thursday, June 30, from 09:30 to 12:00 for the official celebration of National Accessibility Day.
The central activity will take place in the Plaza de la Democracia, within the framework of the Building Inclusion program, for the meeting inclusion messages will be installed in braille chapines, construction, reconstruction and ramp paintings, among other actions in the four central squares of the Microcentro of Asunción.
“Currently Building Inclusion has already reached more than 20 cities out of the 99 scheduled, the bill in favor of accessibility is a reality and has already been signed by the Executive Power, today we are celebrating this great advance towards the country that we want to see ”. Mariela Cuevas, Volunteer Coordinator.
The event was born as an activity of the Fundación Teletón Volunteers and aims to raise awareness about the barriers that exist in terms of accessibility at the country level, through inclusion actions.
Roberto Galeano, executive director of Teletón, indicated: “Teletón is more than a single day, it represents the union of several people towards the cause and the hopes of thousands of Paraguayan families and from this enactment of the law, greater recognition will be given to people as a subject of rights, on equal terms with other people”.
Access to the activities is free and free for all people, who can attend to be part of the actions and take the message of inclusion to all corners of the country, in addition to enjoying a morning full of color and inclusion.
