MOPC officials claimed false promises from Wiens

Arnoldo Wiens presented Rodolfo Segovia as the new minister of the MOPC, and in the midst of the announcement of this news several officials demonstrated in front of the institution accusing him of being a “liar”.

With several posters that brand him a liar and of having made false promises based on open door policies, budgets for equity, salary improvements and job security, Arnoldo Wiens said goodbye to his position as minister, the officials mobilized and claimed that ” He believes that he can leave calmly as if he were the best administrator of the MOPC, as if he had been close to the people »they stated on 1020AM.
“Wiens, being a minister, was away from the officials, during the pandemic we did podas and pancheadas to help our colleagues, he was never close to the people nor did he ever worry about the officials, happily I have memory” mentioned MOPC official Stella Silva.
The officials also stated that the former minister sells illusions but that his management is deplorable. Alluding to the people who fired Wiens, they mentioned that “A high percentage of those who attended are hired VIP consultants and others are employees with benefits. Those who do not attend suffer persecution.”
“I mentioned to my teammates that it was wrong to get carried away and play along, pretending that everything was fine, when the facts show otherwise. He promised us a deep social look towards the officials. My main claim for him is that he forgot about his companions in the field, and they are the most vulnerable, he allied himself with the business sector from outside and did not give opportunities to the internal officials of the house”, declared María Stela Silva.
The official highlighted that never before in MOPC’s history had outside consultants been hired, but rather that professionals who work in the entity had always been given priority. “He also promised to be close to people and he lied, he was never close to us, and we did not get any benefit, and apart from not having kept his promises, the little he did, he did wrong,” she sentenced.
The bad image was associated
Silva said that a clear example of bad management is the ñanduti footbridge that was built in the city of Mariano Roque Alonso: “That footbridge is a shame for the officials since we are the ones who are left with that stigma; the poorly done repairs of the streets and all the things that are supposed to be under the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Works are not done well”.
The claims are many and according to these statements Wiens was never present nor was he in charge of his activities as minister. “What social policy can he talk about if he has not been with his family? I have been training in this institution for 30 years, I have professional training and I can say what I consider to be wrong, to him or to anyone who comes to do things in a manner that does not correspond”.
Arnoldo Weins submitted his resignation in order to fully devote himself to his political campaign as a pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic to replace the declared “significantly corrupt” Hugo Velázquez.
