“Devotion to the Virgen del Carmen requires building a new world on the foundations of freedom, truth, justice and peace, and not on the idols of power, the teaner and the celebrity”, Monsignor Sergio Gualberti, archbishop emeritus of Santa Cruz, reflected in his Sunday homily.

His message was focused on the feast of the virgin del Carmen, “patron saint of Bolivia and the Forceyes Armed”, whom he asked to guide us to promote justice and peace in the country. “Youener to the Virgin of Carmen is living and working in the construction of a patrito fairer and solidarity, without exclusions no confrontationsand live as brothers in serenity and peace”, said Gualberti.

“In short, having Virgen del Carmen as patroness is living our faith in the one and only true God, bearing witness to it with active participation in community life and working to build a more just and solidarity, this above all on the part of our authorities, with a particular attention to the poor, without exclusions or confrontations and where everyone can live as brothers in serenity and peace”, concluded the religious.
