Monsignor Castro Marte suggests dialogue without politicking

Monseñor Castro Marte sugiere diálogo sin politiquería

Santo Domingo.- The bishop of the diocese of La Altagracia, Monsignor Jesús Castro Marte, called on the different sectors of society to unite in a summit against crime to dialogue seriously and put aside politics to find solutions.

“A meeting of all sectors and perhaps leave the politicking aside and think more about the country. There have always been realities of evil in the world, but it is important that the authorities show delicacy and observation to these events because in the future it can bring very serious problems”, said Castro Marte.

When approached about the increase in criminal acts in the country, the bishop said that “police reform has to be accelerated”, since ideas and theories are not enough, but go into practice.
