The Ministry of Health (Minsal) confirmed that there are two new cases of monkeypox in our country, adding a total of eight infections nationwide.
Specifically, these last cases were notified on June 24 and 26 of the same month, corresponding to people who are between 40 and 44 years old and 30 to 34 years old, respectively.

In turn, it was reported that both people are from the Metropolitan region, where seven of the eight cases are found, while the other was reported in the region of La Araucanía.
It should be noted that on June 24 the Minsal decreed a health alert for this disease. “The time has come for us to use other tools in our arsenal of strategies for this alert,” said the Minister of Health, Maria Begona Yarza at said moment.
