After the World Health Organization-WHO declared monkeypox a global health emergency, due to the little information that exists on its level of spread and its specific characteristics, Health authorities in the country have already been working on the issue and have defined that for this Monday July 25, the Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Health-INS They will develop a committee to evaluate the situation in the face of the new WHO declaration.
There, new measures could be taken against monkeypox, although the health authorities in Colombia have stated that the country is in the containment phase of the disease, taking into account that 26 cases have already been identified as suspects, but only ten have been confirmed positive since last May 20.

And it is that, although the risk is moderate worldwide, alarms remain in the European region, where it was evaluated as high. Half of the countries where cases have been reported have vaccines to deal with it, however, does not guarantee that the outbreak will stop.
Although there is no certainty as to what the symptoms actually are, after studying the cases of contagion, it has been determined that this monkeypox is a viral infection in which the patient has symptoms such as headache, fever, rash, muscle pain or inflammation in the lymph nodes, among others.

It is important to note that of the ten cases that have been reported in the country so far, five have already fully recovered, while the remaining five are still receiving treatment and in due isolation.
