Dr. Alfredo Moltó, advisor to the Higher Office of the Ministry of Health, indicated that some 200,000 doses of the hexavalent vaccine and 1,364,300 doses of influenza arrived in Panama, which will reinforce immunization coverage throughout the country.
These vaccines will be distributed to the 15 regions of the country immediately to begin the vaccination process.
Starting Monday, May 13, vaccination will begin in the health facilities of the Ministry of Health and the Social Security Fund starting at 7 in the morning.
With the start of the rainy season, the MINSA reiterates the importance of getting vaccinated against influenza every year, especially for older adults and children.
