Mixed vaccine against Covid-19 will arrive in Panama in the first quarter of 2023

Panama awaits the arrival of more than 70,000 doses of vaccines against Covid-19, with the aim of guaranteeing the immunization of as many people as possible, as indicated by the Minister of Health Luis Francisco Sucre when revealing that, in addition, the President of the Republic Laurentino Cortizo Cohen approved the purchase of the mixed vaccine with the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, which is expected to arrive in the country in the first quarter of next year.

Sucre explained that he will inoculate people who have a minimum of 2 or 3 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, so that they are protected for one year against variants of the virus.

The Minister of Health said that the Bahamas requested support from the Government of Panama with vaccines against Covid-19, so they will be supported with the doses they need.

“We are in a sixth wave of Covid-19 with 17% positivity and an increase in active cases, so we reiterate the call to the population to maintain self-care measures,” Sucre pointed out.
