The man explained that he had reached an agreement with the children’s mother to be able to have custody of the minors, but that their behavior did not improve and they ran away from his house and therefore had to be taken back to their mother.
Luis Molina, the father of two, of the minors who were missing in the province of Chiriquí and who were found this afternoon in a pasture in the province of Los Santos, revealed that the minors had been living with him last year in the Santa Isabel area.
He also said that the children had misbehaved and had even run away from the residence where they were with him, so they were taken back to their mother in the province of Chiriquí.
He explained that on Monday the woman informed him that she went to Bocas del Toro to collect the scholarship of one of her children and that when she got home she did not find the minors and that they had disappeared, so she contacted the authorities of Los Santos province to see if there was any sign of these minors in the area. Indeed, the disappearance report paid off because the children were found in the Santa Isabel area, where the father of two of the three infants resides.
The authorities indicated that the children are safe and sound and are under the orders of the competent authorities.
For his part the Superior Prosecutor of Chiriquí, Luis Martínez, said that they are carrying out the corresponding interrogations to determine the actions that should be taken in this case. He said that they are investigating what motivated the infants to leave home without notifying anyone and why they kept hidden knowing that they were looking for him and that this is part of the topics they are going to delve into.
