The Ministry of Health (Minsal) reported in its televised balance that there will be no changes in the Step-by-Step plan during this week, it also highlighted that the rate of vaccination increased by 78% compared to last week.
The head of epidemiology of the Minsal, Christian García, was in charge of communicating that during the last week 2,177 cases have been registered, to which he pointed out that “it indicates a stabilization compared to the previous week, but with a reduction compared to 4,212 cases daily average of the last weeks. This represents a 44% reduction in the number of cases registered in the last two weeks.”

In turn, he highlighted that in all regions of the country the number of daily cases has been reduced in the last 14 days, as well as the number of respiratory consultations for suspected cases of covid-19.
Hospital occupancy – critical covid-19 beds – “remains around 13%, that is, low occupancy,” he added.
Vaccination rate
The head of epidemiology also reported that between April 18 and 24 “the rate of vaccination increased by 78% compared to the week of April 11 to 17.” Although he stressed that the previous week was short, so it is reflected in the numbers.
During this last week, 627,601 people were vaccinated, of which 15,000 have their primary scheme; 84,5226 got their booster dose; and 623,082 with a fourth dose. Despite the positive figures, the authority insisted on continuing to be vaccinated.
