Minsal calls on people with disabilities and their caregivers to receive bivalent vaccine against Covid-19

The Ministry of Health (Minsal) announced that for this week the vaccination schedule against Covid-19 includes people with disabilities and their respective caregivers. According to data from the National Disability Registry, there are currently 457,000 people in a situation of severe disability.

The Minister (s) of Health, Fernando Araos, explained that in the calendar “we are in particular with people who have a severe dependency condition and not only them, but also caregivers, who must catch up with their vaccinations “.

“We make a very broad call to all people at risk who enter this campaign, because it is the most important measure to reduce consultations and serious illnesses this winter,” said the deputy health minister.

It should be noted that the inoculation process continues with health personnel, the Gendarmerie, people over 50 years of age, among others. According to the Minsal, to date there are more than 1,750,000 doses of the bivalent vaccine that have been administered in the country.
