MINSA reports 6,081 positives, active cases add up to 53,714 and 85 patients in ICU for Covid-19

The epidemiological report for this Wednesday, February 2, records 6,081 new cases for a cumulative of 711,961.

In the last hours, 20 deaths were registered, in addition, 1 death from a previous date is updated for a cumulative of 7,773 deaths and a lethality of 1.1%.

Active cases add up to 53,714, while 23,137 tests were applied for a positivity of 26.2%.

In home isolation there are 52,723 and 214 in hospital hotels.

Hospitalized patients are 692 in the ward and 85 are in the Intensive Care Unit.

From this Thursday, January 3, pediatric vaccination begins, for children between 5 and 11 years old, in circuits 8-5 in La Chorrera, province of Panamá Oeste; in 6-1 (Chitré) and 6-2 (Los Pozos, Parita and Pesé) in the province of Herrera.

In La Chorrera the vaccination centers are: José María Barranco School (Barrio Balboa); United Nations School (Barrio Colón); Virgen de Guadalupe School and La Herradura School (Guadalupe); El Coco Bilingual School (El Coco); El Progreso School (Puerto Caimito) and La Doradilla School (Santa Rita, Hurtado and Feuillet). In these centers you will be vaccinated from Thursday to Saturday from 7am.-5pm.

From Thursday the 3rd to Friday the 4th, from 7am to 4pm, the following will operate as vaccination centers: Escuela El Trapichito (Herrera); The Plow School (The Plow); La Mitra School (Leona Beach);

On Saturday January 5th there will be vaccinations, from 7am.- 4pm. at the Ollas Abajo School (Los Díaz and Obaldía); León Soto School (Amador, Iturralde, Arosemena, Mendoza and La Represa).

The vaccination centers in circuit 6-1 are: the health centers of Llano Bonito, de la Arena, Chitré, Monagrillo and the Roberto R. de Diego Polyclinic. In the 6-2: Minsa-Capsi de Pesé, Parita health center, Los Pozos municipal court, Cruce de Santa Clara School and El Barrero School.

In the metropolitan region, fixed vaccination points for children and people over 16 years of age are open from Wednesday to Sunday at Los Andes Mall (7am. 3pm), Albrook Mall (7am. 3pm); Soho Mall (9am-5pm); Mega Mall (9am-5pm); Alta Plaza Mall (9am-5pm) and Metro Mall (9am-5pm).
