With the purpose of prioritizing strategic areas and lines of action for the Panama and Spain Cooperation Agreement 2025-2029, the Ministry of Health participated in a technical work table that was developed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This activity was attended by various representatives of the Spanish Development Cooperation Office in Panama.
Alejandro Arce, director of the Potable Water and Sanitary Sewerage of Minsa indicated that this work table is of great importance for the institution for the various challenges and the national government has set out to execute various projects in the field of strengthening to access to drinking water .
“We hope to benefit and impact through international technical cooperation the regional, rural and difficult access areas,” said the engineer Arce.
While Teresa Moreno, Director of International Affairs and Technical Cooperation of Minsa explained that, with the support of Spanish cooperation, the issues related to refundable and non -refundable loans that benefit the country as donations and key projects that seek to improve The quality of life of Panamanians.
For its part, Itziar González General Coordinator in Functions of the Spanish Cooperation Office for Development in Panama, said that the workshop carried out is a very participatory methodology, where different social cooperation institutions in Panama, which are part of the sector Government as is the Ministry of Health review the strategic lines promoted by this new administration and are analyzed at the same time where interventions or projects will be the budget ”.
He stressed that health is within the components of access to basic services and there are several interventions both in the Ngäbe Buglé region and in the province of Darién, strengthening the institutional work that the Ministry of Health undertakes in the country.
