Minor will serve 9 years in prison for committing aggravated homicide

A 17-year-old teenager will spend 9 years in prison after being convicted of the crime of aggravated homicide.

This was reported by the Public Ministry after the Superior Prosecutor for Adolescents of West Panama achieved the conviction through a sentence agreement, endorsed by the adolescent criminal judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Panama, Lorena Hernández.

The young man was accused of committing a crime of aggravated homicide to the detriment of a 24-year-old man.

The events for which the adolescent was tried were recorded on September 2, 2021, in the district of Veracruz, district of Arraiján, when two minors, including the convicted, with premeditation and treachery, hit a man on several occasions. who was lying in a hammock in his home. In this case, in a previous hearing, the other adolescent had been sentenced to 4 years in prison.
