The National Government began the work for the construction and interconnection of the future Maria Auxiliadora Substation, which will benefit some 30,000 users and allow the installation of more industries in the area.

The work, financed by the Development Bank of Latin America CAF, through ANDE, involves an investment of 25 million dollars and allows progress in the execution of the Master Plan designed by ANDE for 2030. Its commissioning is scheduled for July 2023.

The president of ANDE also highlighted that in the last two years the institution has reached record levels of investment in electrical infrastructure, reaching in 2021 more than 311 million dollars executed.

Thanks to the tariff agreement reached by the government in Itaipu Binacional, ANDE will benefit from a financial injection of 140 million dollars for investments, and more than 40 million dollars in bill reduction for power purchase.
