A traffic accident occurred in the afternoon, when a truck fell into the waters of the Ichu River.
In said accident, the police officers of the Emergency Unit of the Huancavelica Police Region managed to rescue a minor, who was driving the truck, from the turbulent and charged waters of the Ichu River.

The unit fell partially into the mighty waters, in the Ascension district, minutes later, the police officers were alerted through the 105 Emergency Central, for which they immediately moved to Jr. Santa Rosa.
There they found the submerged truck with license plate AMU-819, Toyota brand, Hilux model, managing, after strenuous efforts, to rescue the 17-year-old minor.
The minor, who was in an apparent state of intoxication, tried to escape on more than one occasion, however, he could not.

After the rescue, the minor was transferred to the Traffic Accident Investigation Section (SIAT) of the Huancavelica Urban Police Station, where a citizen appeared claiming to be the owner of the aforementioned vehicle.
The owner of the unit said that it had been stolen from the front of his home located in the aforementioned shred of the Ascension district.
Given this situation, the minor was retained for being involved in the alleged commission of the crime against property in the form of aggravated theft, followed by a traffic accident, due to total forgetfulness and submersion with subsequent material damage.
The minor was made available to the Vehicle Theft Prevention and Investigation Area in order to continue with the proceedings and investigations in accordance with the law.
Members of the Huancavelica Fire Company No. 56 also participated in the rescue of the unit.
